Lubrication Port
This device features multiple lubrication ports to facilitate the application of grease to specific areas.
Production Process of compost pellet mill
The following describes the pelletizing process for this compost pellet making machine. Since the raw materials have undergone fermentation, high-temperature steam conditioning is generally not required.
- Feeding: The optimal moisture content of the raw material should be between 15% and 25%, with particle sizes within 3–5 mm. Material that meets these requirements will flow smoothly into the pelletizer through the arch-breaking feeder.
- Compression: Under the high-pressure compression of the twin rollers, the composting material is forced into the ring die and discharged through its fine apertures.
- Forming: As material continues to be fed in and compressed, cylindrical pieces are continuously discharged.
- Cutting: Driven by the rotation of the ring die, the pellet material passes through cutting blade, transforming into compost pellets.

Compost Pellet Production Line
We offer a complete, high-efficiency compost pellet production line, which can meet production capacity requirements ranging from 1 to 40 T/H and beyond. Below is an overview of the basic process flow for this solution. In addition, we can provide customized solutions and turnkey services tailored to your specific production needs.

01
Crushing
Some raw materials are quite large, and direct pelletization can easily cause machine jams and reduce product quality. Therefore, this process stage is specifically equipped with shredders and grinders to reduce the raw material to a particle size of 3–5 mm, facilitating pelletization.
02
drying
Excessively high moisture content in the raw material can make it difficult to form pellets. This process is used to dry composted material. Our drum dryers dry the material through rotation and hot air circulation, ultimately controlling its moisture content within the ideal range of 15%–25%.
03
Pelletizing
The compost pellet making machine plays a key role in this stage. We will provide you with a suitable configuration based on your raw material composition, target production capacity, and pellet size. If higher production capacity is required, multiple pelletizers can be operated in parallel.
04
Cooling
This step is used to rapidly cool the pellets in order to set their shape. Our cooling system ensures that the pellets are cooled without compromising their structural integrity. This facilitates packaging and transportation.
05
Screening
This section can screen three types of pellet product to meet requirements for different pellet sizes. The excess material removed during screening can undergo secondary pelletization, thereby reducing costs.
06
Packaging
It is suitable for rapid pellet weighing and packaging requirements. Our highly automated packaging scales will reduce your labor costs and pellet loss while ensuring consistent packaging quality.

Frequently Asked Questions
We offer free pre-sales consultation to every customer. Below are answers to frequently asked questions about this organic fertilizer pelletizer. Additionally, you are welcome to contact us anytime with your specific production requirements. We will provide you with the most suitable compost pellet production solution.
–
Should a compost pellet making machine only process pre-fermented materials?
Common raw materials for compost production include animal manure, agricultural waste, and municipal solid waste. These materials tend to be highly viscous, which can lead to the risk of machine blockages. They also contain high levels of bacteria and are not suitable for direct use in production. Therefore, it is recommended that the raw materials undergo standard composting treatment to ensure higher pellet quality and efficient production.
–
Is it necessary to set up a complete production line for compost pellet production?
This primarily depends on your raw material characteristics and production scale. For small-scale production, provided the raw material moisture content and particle size are appropriate, a standalone pelletizer can be used for production.
If the raw material size exceeds 3–5 mm and the moisture content exceeds 25%, a crushing and drying system is required. Additionally, if your production capacity is large, we recommend setting up a complete production line system. This helps ensure consistent product quality and improves production efficiency.
–
Does a compost pellet making machine require a steam system?
Compost materials typically undergo fermentation and do not require additional high-temperature steam conditioning. The production process for these pellets primarily involves high-intensity compression. The internal temperature of the pelletizer can reach 60–90 degrees Celsius, which also aids in the shaping of the material.
Additionally, if the material is relatively dry, an appropriate amount of moisture can be added. This helps improve the pellet formation rate. (View YouTube)

What are the uses of compost pellets?
As a type of organic fertilizer pellet, compost pellets can also be used in various crop cultivation applications. For example, they are suitable for corn, soybeans, fruit trees, horticulture, and soil improvement. Their granular form makes them easier to transport and store, and helps prolong the release of nutrients.
