Is there any requirement for the moisture content of raw materials when using our wood pellet machine?
Normally, to ensure the forming rate and pelletizing effect of raw materials, wood pellet machine has strict requirements for the moisture content of raw materials. If the moisture content of raw materials is too low, the bonding properties of the material will be affected, resulting in the rollers being unable to effectively squeeze the material through the die holes. Therefore, the output will contain excessive powder, low forming rate, and low production.
If the moisture content is too high, the finished pellets tend to have a loose structure and are prone to crumbling after cooling. Additionally, the material may frequently slip within the die, causing die hole blockages and reduced output.
We suggest customers conduct professional moisture testing before production. The ideal moisture content range should be controlled around 15%. If you have the need, we can provide matching high-efficiency drying equipment to ensure optimal pelletizing results.

How often should the rollers and dies be replaced?
The rollers and dies are the core components of a wood pellet mill. The specific maintenance frequency depends on your usage intensity. Please refer to the following guidelines:
● Add Lubricating Oil
After continuous operation for 8-12 hours, the pelletizer requires at least one lubricant application. For higher-intensity continuous operation, lubrication may need to be applied twice every 8-12 hours. This ensures bearings maintain smooth operation under high temperatures and pressures.
● Regular Inspection
When possible, please periodically check the wear condition of the rollers and dies. If pelletizer output decreases, replace them promptly to avoid impacting production efficiency.
● Daily Cleaning
If your pelletizer will be unused for an extended period, please thoroughly clean all residual materials from the machine interior in advance. And wipe the die surface with rust-preventive oil to prevent die hole corrosion and blockage.
