How Does Grass Pellet Production Line Work?
The production process of grass pellets involves several stages, including raw material pretreatment, mixing and pelletizing, cooling, screening, and packaging. The equipment and specific operations for each stage require adjustments based on actual conditions. Crushing Section
This stage is for raw materials that do not meet pelletisation requirements. For instance, high-fibre grass and straw materials are not suitable for direct pelletisation. Instead, they must be crushed into fragments measuring between 3-5mm. If your raw material consists of rice husks, cottonseed hulls or other flake-like materials, crushing is not required.

Drying Section
This stage is designed to address situations where raw materials have high moisture content, such as fresh grasses. Increased moisture levels during the production process can result in pellets with a looser structure. The drying section ensures that the moisture content is at an ideal level for pelletisation. This can make them more easy to form and can improve overall output.

Pelletizing Section
This process is carried out in a grass pellet machine specifically designed for the purpose of mixing and pelletizing grass materials. Typically, raw material moisture should be maintained between 15% and 18%. At this moisture level, the material exhibits optimal binding properties and is most easily formed into pellets. Excessively high moisture content in raw materials leads to loose pellet structure and difficulty in forming. It also increases steam buildup within the grass pellet machine, increasing the risk of equipment clogging and shutdowns. In such cases, we recommend drying the raw materials using drying equipment. In addition, since different raw materials possess varying fiber structures and hardness levels, their forming rates also differ. For harder materials, you can blend in softer components.
